The Pastry and Bakery Demi Chef is responsible to deliver consistent food quality aimed at creating great experience for guests. The individual will be responsible for performing all assigned culinary tasks to the highest standards in accordance to standards and supports initiatives to maintain food hygiene, health, and safety standards:
Preparation and production of pastry items for the a la carte menu and function BEO to ensure that they are in compliance with the prescribed recipes and specifications
Determine the required mise-en-place according to the menu order
Ensure that the received products meet the predetermined quality and
purchasing specifications
Assist supervisor in creating new dishes and arranging sample tasting for management
Assist with inventories as scheduled
Escalate feedback on service challenges through proper escalation channels
Assist training intern and team member to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.
Support J. Sous Chef/Food Services Manager to supervise, facilitate cost to maximize the benefit for Kitchen, support the working schedule, annual plan and operating expenses to ensure that the kitchen operates within a defined workspace and budget.
Diploma in Culinary or equivalent vocational training certificate, major in pastry and bakery is great advantage
Minimum 2 years experience in bakery field
Good knowledge of Pastry technique and trends
Ability to work well in a team
