The Job

Position Summary / Primary Purpose of the Position

A DevOps engineer is a professional who works at the intersection of software development and IT operations, using various tools and methodologies to automate and streamline the processes of building, testing, deploying, and monitoring software applications.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborating with developers, testers, and system administrators to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of software products and services.
• Developing and maintaining scripts, pipelines, and configurations for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) platforms such as Gitlab CI, ArgoCD, etc.
• Deploying data streaming platform: Kafka, RabbitMQ, ...
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance, availability, scalability, and security of software systems and environments.
• Monitor services, Implement disaster recovery solution.
• Managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and resources using tools such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, etc.
• Setup a new live / prod environment with automation tools
• Implement DevOps practices: Infrastructure as Code, automation build, CI/CD pipeline, orchestration, monitoring...
• Researching and evaluating new technologies and trends in the DevOps domain and providing recommendations for improvement and innovation
• Report to the Infrastructure and Platform Manager to provide regular updates on the status and progress of the platform projects and initiatives.

Your Skills and Experience

Qualifications/ Memberships:

• Bachelor's Degree and above
• AWS and GCP Certifications
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in AWS or GCP.

Experience:

• From 5+ years' experience in system operations, with at least 3 years working in DevOps
• Strong knowledge of System Infrastructure (Network, Security, Services, Virtualization), especially AWS architecture.
• Understand general development and deployment chain and software development procedure.
• Experiences DevOps tools and automations platform: Jenkins, Ansible, Gitlab
• Programming experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, etc.)
• Have knowledge and experience with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Good in working with platforms: VMware, Linux, Kubernetes
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Experiences in implementation and managing services: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kong, KrakenD, Redis, MongoDB, MySQL, nginx, PHP, ...
• Ability to communicate verbally in English
