Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, develop, and manage a team that is responsible for providing the full range of legal support services (e.g., deals, advisory, regulatory, and contentious matters) at the regional, local, and industry levels.
Provide advice and counsel on a wide range of legal, business, corporate strategy, and governance issues to key internal stakeholders across a diverse set of products.
Work with many different key constituencies and functions including public policy, product lawyers, compliance, and others to jointly deliver the outcomes.
Manage company positioning on key interests and issues, working in partnership with leadership and key stakeholder groups.

Minimum qualifications:
15 years of experience in legal practice including experience working with India regulators.
15 years of experience leading, developing, and managing full-service legal teams including litigation, commercial, and product work.
15 years of experience in working with matrixed organizations headquartered in the US.
Experience managing both internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience operating with an informed and pragmatic perspective, and ability to manage teams.
Ability to distill complex situations/facts and discuss the big picture.
Ability to represent Google regionally, coupled with a bias to action working with teams to get things done.
Strong business acumen and ability to analyze and problem-solve in unprecedented scenarios.
