ECU Integration & Diagnostics Engineer (English Required - Up to $2500)

Position: ECU Integration & Diagnostics Engineer
We are seeking engineers across Mid and Mid-Senior levels to own firmware validation tooling, end-to-end ECU software integration, and the on-board UDS diagnostic and TracePoint observability infrastructure for zonal network controllers.
Role Description
Mid - Validation / Tooling Engineer
Develop unit test suites for firmware modules (drivers, safety routines, diagnostic handlers) using frameworks like Unity, Ceedling, or Python test scripts.
Build automated test setups using [protected info] and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches for firmware regression testing.
Maintain CI-integrated test scripts to validate nightly firmware builds, flashing sequences, and artifact manifests.
Mid/Senior - ECU Integration Engineer
Own complete software integration across zonal modules: assembling RTOS, drivers, network stacks, file system, and safety components into validated release images.
Perform system-level bring-up and integration testing, verifying component startup order, inter-module communication, and RTE End-to-End (E2E) protection.
Debug and resolve cross-layer integration issues (memory region overlaps, interrupt conflicts, timing jitter).
Mid/Senior - Diagnostics / TracePoint Engineer
Implement UDS (ISO 14229) diagnostic services, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), Diagnostic Identifiers (DIDs) (e.g., 0xF190 VIN, 0xEE01 Secure Boot Status, 0xD100 Session Control, 0xFD40/0xFD41 CCC Verifier), and Routine Controls (RIDs).
Implement and expand the TracePoint observability framework using barectf / CTF schema definitions to instrument firmware events (BIST events, system state transitions, fault events, and network lifecycle events).
Maintain diagnostic specification matrices and trace schema files for diagnostic tools and telemetry forwarders
Qualifications
Mid: 2+ years of embedded firmware or test automation experience; experience writing embedded unit tests and validation scripts.
Mid/Senior: 3-6+ years of embedded firmware experience; expertise in UDS (ISO 14229) diagnostic stack implementation, DID/RID handlers, and/or ECU software integration.
Experience with hardware debugging tools: JTAG probes, logic analyzers, and CAN/Ethernet bus analyzers (CANoe, Wireshark).
Familiarity with embedded tracing frameworks or CTF event logging.
Nice to have
Experience with ECU test automation and HIL test setups.
Direct experience with TracePoint (barectf schema) instrumentation in C firmware.
Familiarity with UDS client automated testing tools.
