Education Project Coordinator

Job Description & Responsibilities
● From July to Oct: Planning period
○ Participate in training to improve teaching and facilitator skills
○ Work with Kidspire team to co-create action plans for the whole school year
○ Co-plan and co-facilitate 2 Summer STEM Camps in Nha Trang and HCMC
○ Supporting in the process of renovating classroom space at orphange (when needed)
● From Oct to May: Executing period
○ Co-lead teacher
■ Co-plan and be available to host education activities with 30-40 students 4-5 days/week in 25 weeks of typical learning activities.
■ Establish positive relationships with students, and foster a supportive learning environment
■ Evaluate student progress and provide academic support
■ Identify a schedule and conduct 2 mentoring sessions with each student at the Focus 360 location
■ Establish an "Individual Education Plan" (IEP) for each student, which identifies strengths and challenges for each student, and recommendations for what type of support each student may need to have the best chance to overcome obstacles that may limit their advancement in education.
■ Coordinate volunteers, and mentors for different programs at the orphanage
■ Write reports 2-4 times/year to orphanage partner or the government when needed
■ Collect data for measurement, evaluation and learning (MEL)
■ Cultivate and sustain a strong partnership with the orphanage, acting with professionalism as the local representative of Kidspire
■ Demonstrate professional conduct in multiple different contexts
○ Mental Health Facilitator
■ Arrange the schedule for 1:1 meetings between the child psychologist and each student.
■ Be aware of how best to approach individual students after getting consults from a child psychologist
○ Education Affair Facilitator
■ Arrange the teaching schedules and enrollment
■ Share curriculum framework with orphanage leadership
■ Partner with the education department of the orphanage to consult directly with students' teachers at school and help tailor their after-school homework tutoring to help children improve their school scores and stay motivated to stay in school.
■ Engaging directly with relatives about the importance of education and letting students continue their education

■ Student-centered approach
■ Design the learning environment to give students a significant voice in requesting and shaping the curriculum, leading discussions in the classroom, and consulting the field trip or STEM projects they would like to join.
● STEAM/Maker Facilitator
○ Co-plan and co-facilitate inspiring 5 STEM Days & 2 Summer STEM Campus with other Kid spire Teachers at different orphanages or children's institutes.
Job Requirements
● University degree
● 1-3 years of proven working experience in STEAM education or Project Coordinator
● Have the ability to articulate your ideas and information in Vietnamese and English
● Have strong motivation to love, care, coach, and bring equity STEAM education to children and youth from underserved communities
● Have a growth mindset: embrace the challenges, and find opportunities to grow
● Contribute in nurturing a happy, inspiring, and professional culture
● Coordinate people with different personalities
● Maintain team morale and well-being of each other
● Quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise
● Quickly respond to different communication channels of Kidspire (email, Slack...)
