Engineering Manager JavaScript

The Job

Pascal Studio is looking for an Engineering Manager to build to build- up, manage, and grow the technical team in Vietnam. Your responsibility is to:

• You hold accountability for your respective of team(s) and project(s).
• You manage and execute against projects and delivery commitments, and contribute to our product strategy and roadmap. Interact with the product and other engineering offices to stay in sync on all projects with the engineers involved.

• Manage the engineering team's daily operations and development. Support current members in technical areas, as well as ensuring they have all they need to work and are well taken care of.

• Be a line management (1:1 meetings, personal development & training plan, career path, probation reviews, and performance reviews)

Technical environment:

Microservices architecture system

Programming: JavaScript, Nodejs, ReactJS (including Redux), React Native

Databases - Postgres, MongoDB

DevOps - Jenkins, GitHub

Cloud: AWS, Azure

• 8+ years professional software development experience
• 5+ years of experience leading an engineering team
• Proven ability to coach and mentor engineers
• A passion for communication and collaboration
• A proven track record of planning and delivering on multiple overlapping projects spanning several months
• Experience implementing engineering processes that emphasize security and quality
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
