Primary Job Function
Responsible for ensuring the reliable, compliant, and efficient operation of all facility, utility, HVAC, and BMS systems supporting GMP manufacturing operations, while maintaining inspection readiness and business continuity
Reporting to Senior Engineering Manager (Expat)
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: About 4 employees are directly managed
Core Job Responsibilities
Ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient operation of all facility, utility, HVAC, and BMS systems supporting manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Maintain critical utility systems and partner with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all utilities remain in a qualified and inspection-ready state.
Provide technical leadership for HVAC, environmental control, utility performance, investigations, and CAPAs.
Lead Engineering readiness for regulatory inspections, customer audits, and GMP self-inspections while ensuring compliance with cGMP, EU GMP, and company requirements.
Partner with Qualification & Validation to maintain the validated state of facilities and utilities through qualification, requalification, change control, and lifecycle management.
Drive maintenance, reliability, and asset management strategies to improve equipment performance, compliance, and business continuity.
Manage engineering contractors and support site infrastructure and improvement plans.
Develop engineering capabilities and promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and inspection readiness.
Position Accountability/Scope:
The Facilities & Utilities Manager is accountable for the reliable, compliant, and efficient operation of all facility, utility, HVAC, and Building Management Systems (BMS) supporting GMP manufacturing operations
The position is responsible for maintaining all facilities and critical utility systems in a state of control and inspection readiness, ensuring compliance with cGMP, EU GMP, EHS, and company requirements
