JOB DESCRIPTION
Phú Bảo Medical (PBM) is preparing to build a new manufacturing facility - and we're looking for the operations leader who will shape it from day one.This role starts with hands-on immersion in our current factory, working alongside PBM's existing plant leadership team to deeply understand how the operation runs - before taking the lead in designing, building, and running our next facility.
Phú Bảo Medical (PBM) - part of Phú Bảo Group, a 100% Vietnamese-owned group with nearly 20 years in the medical and healthcare industry - manufactures disposable facemasks, underpads, and other medical/hygiene consumables for domestic and OEM/export markets.
Phase 1 - Immersion (working with current plant team):
Gain hands-on exposure to plant safety standards and operational discipline
Understand Quality-at-Source practices and QMS/SOP/traceability systems
Learn how the plant delivers Production Plan attainment and OTIF for OEM/export customers
Study OEE, capacity management, and downtime reduction approaches
Understand PBM's Maintenance system (PM, MTBF/MTTR)
Learn the plant's cost structure: conversion cost, yield, labor productivity
Work closely with Production/Engineering/Maintenance managers and supervisors
Participate in Daily/Weekly Management routines and RCA/CAPA discipline
Contribute to the PBM Manufacturing Operating System (PBM-MOS), with an eye toward replicating it at the new facility
Phase 2 - Build & Lead (new facility):
Own the design, construction, and start-up of PBM's new manufacturing facility
Build the new plant's team, standards, and operating system from the ground up
Take full operational ownership once running: safety, quality, OEE, cost, people, MOS
What We're Looking For:
12 - 20 years in manufacturing, including 5+ years as Plant/Operations/Production Director
Background in medical consumables, disposable products (facemasks, underpads), nonwoven, hygiene, or other regulated/FMCG manufacturing
Experience managing multi-line factories (300-500+ headcount a strong plus)
Strong command of ISO 13485/9001, GMP principles, CAPA, traceability, validation/change control
Deep Operational Excellence toolkit: Lean, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, OEE, SMED, RCA
Solid business acumen: conversion cost, labor productivity, material yield, CAPEX/ROI
Track record building manager/supervisor talent, accountability, and succession pipelines
Fluent Mandarin Chinese (native or near-native) and business-level English - essential for direct engagement with Taiwan/China-based equipment suppliers and EPC partners during the new facility build, and with Chinese-speaking OEM customers
Data-driven, Gemba-based leadership style with high ownership and integrity
