Key Responsibilities
-Develop seasonal collections for knit and light woven categories, aligned with U.S. market trends and buyer expectations.
-Create and manage tech packs, ensuring accuracy in specifications, measurements, and construction details.
-Collaborate with merchandising and production teams to ensure feasibility, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
-Research fashion trends, fabrics, and trims to propose innovative yet commercially viable designs.
-Oversee sample development, reviewing fit, quality, and finishing to meet brand standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
-Strong creative vision with proven ability to translate trends into market-relevant products.
-Technical expertise in knitwear and light woven construction, including fabric behavior and finishing techniques.
-Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other design software for sketching and technical drawings.
-Solid understanding of U.S. retail market requirements, including compliance and quality standards.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to coordinate across design, merchandising, and sourcing teams.
-Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
-Minimum 5 years of professional experience in apparel design, preferably with exposure to the American market.
