Finance & Accounting Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounts Manager to lead and oversee all financial and accounting activities in our fast-paced FMCG distribution business. This role ensures robust financial controls, accurate reporting, strong working capital management, and support for commercial and operational decisions across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, AR, AP, and cash flow management.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements.
• Prepare and submit consolidated financial reports to regional and HQ teams.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Monitor and analyze business performance, profitability, and key financial KPIs.
• Support management with financial insights to drive strategic decision-making.
3. Cash Flow, Loans & Financing Management
• Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements to support business operations.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure short-term loans, trade finance, or inventory financing facilities.
• Prepare financing proposals, cash flow forecasts, and covenant compliance reports for lenders and investors.
• Oversee loan drawdowns, repayments, and interest calculations to optimize financing costs.
• Propose and execute cash optimization and liquidity improvement initiatives.
4. Compliance & Internal Controls
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Coordinate audits (internal and external) and prepare necessary documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong internal control procedures to mitigate financial risks.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
• Work closely with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation.
• Review costing, margin analysis, pricing impacts and optimize costs.
• Monitor stock movements and support cycle counts or physical stocktake processes.
6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Supervise and mentor finance & accounting team members.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, HR, and other departments to support business activities.
• Act as the key contact for external auditors, tax authorities, financial partners, and regulatory agencies.
