The role of the Food Service Director is to effectively manage and develop the Foodservice business by mainly preparing and implementing strategies that result in sustained growth of the Foodservice unit.
Further the role will manage Foodservice distributor network to ensure their activities are aligned with FBV with achieved KPI's, whilst working closely with our Regional team to formulate new business strategies/products and drive growth.
The role is primarily responsible for but not limited to;
• Develop business strategies by product and business channel covering volume, revenue and profit parameters
• Lead and develop the Sales and Demand Creation teams
• Identify and develop new products and new business opportunities
• Monitor and control business operations including sales and demand forecasting, inventory levels and distributor receivables
• Gather, analyze all relevant customer/competitor/market data across the various market segments in a Foodservice database
• Manage and develop distributors to ensure their goals and objectives are clear and aligned
• Maintaining and controlling distributor collection days to be below budget level and to prevent bad debts
• Innovation in new products and application solutions that strengthen our market leadership position and minimize price pressures
