PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS/ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING
• Communicate high expectations for every student.
• Provide opportunities for every student to succeed.
• Teach utilizing a variety of strategies.
• Lead students to higher level thinking skills
• Use a variety of learning aids, technology, materials and equipment to stimulate higher level thinking.
• Involve all students in the learning process and adjust instruction according to the needs of the students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of varied methodologies in instruction and assessment.
• Deep understanding of the national curriculum and English language requirements
II. PLANNING AND PREPARATION/KNOWLEDGE
• Demonstrate effective preparation for student instruction.
• Plan lessons to reflect an understanding of group and individual student needs utilizing all available resources including a variety of teaching materials and support staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of content/curriculum.
• Has command of subject content.
• Present accurate information.
• Present material appropriate to developmental level of students
• Research new language teaching methods
III. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND MANAGEMENT
• Create an environment that is safe, orderly and conducive to learning.
• Establish and maintain clearly defined routines and procedures.
• Is a positive role model for students.
• Encourage active engagement in the learning process.
• Establish and maintain consistent and realistic behavior expectations.
• Create a positive environment by dealing with behavior in a fair, respectful, sensitive and consistent manner.
IV. COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Promote a team effort among school staff members.
• Respect the opinions of other staff members.
• Share ideas and materials.
• Share relevant information regarding students with appropriate personnel in a confidential manner.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents regarding instructional programs, classroom policies, practices and procedures.
V. PROFESSIONALISM
• Participate in activities to enhance professional growth which may include, but not be limited to, workshops, course work, conferences, seminars and professional publications.
• Demonstrate an awareness of educational issues and knowledge of current research.
• Sets appropriate professional goals which can demonstrate but are not limited to risk-taking, innovation and/or sharing.
• Demonstrate punctuality in fulfilling responsibilities.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Comply with applicable board/administration policies/regulations.
Yêu cầu
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• At least a Bachelor's Degree with majors in English Language or English Literature, MA of TESOL is preferred
• A teaching certificate (CELTA, TEFL).
• 2+ years' experience teaching and making curriculum for English skills at any level esp the age group from 3 - 16 years old.

• A calm and professional demeanor.
• Self-motivation and follow-through.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong people skills.
• Ability to establish collaborative relationships with teaching staff, students, teachers, administrators, other employees of the school.
• Display an ability to communicate effectively with parents.
• Display evidence of an educational philosophy in agreement with that of the school.
