Overview
We are seeking a Game Economy Designer to design, balance, and optimize the in-game economy throughout the design and development of a game.
In this role, you will collaborate with Coreloop Game Designers on the in-game economy, analyze game and economy data, and contribute to player progression, engagement, and monetization. You will use data and testing to propose improvements and tuning that can boost engagement, retention, and monetization.
Key Responsibilities
Design a functional in-game economic system in collaboration with Coreloop Game Designers, including economy definition, listing, and tracking.
Balance the in-game economy throughout the design and development of the game.
Analyze game metrics, economy data, and market trends to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for monetization.
Shape player progression and engagement through:
FTUE
Progression milestones
User or event segmentation
LiveOps
New content
Bundles and Chain Offers
Propose improvements and tuning based on game data and economy performance.
Propose and evaluate A/B tests to boost engagement, retention, and monetization.
Requirements
4. Requirements
Must Have
At least 1 year of experience as a Game Designer.
Strong Excel skills.
Experience with game KPI analysis and knowledge of various monetization models.
Passion for games across different formats.
Good sensitivity to gameplay and game design, with an understanding of how to build player needs and emotions in the context of a game.
Good knowledge of econometrics and marketing.
Data-driven decision-making mindset.
Nice to Have
Good knowledge of data visualization and Business Intelligence tools.
Knowledge of popular game engines such as Unity.
