Role Description The General Manager (Local Only) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Côn Đảo This role oversees daily hotel and group operational performance, including guest experience, service quality, and brand standards across assigned properties.
The General
Manager leads, coaches, and develops department heads and teams, ensuring effective staffing, training, and a positive, inclusive work environment.
Key responsibilities include managing budgets and financial performance, optimizing revenue, monitoring costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards.
The General
Manager collaborates closely with corporate leadership on strategic initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and represents AKYN Hospitality Group in local partnerships and community engagement.
Qualifications
Strong hotel operations management skills, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and guest services leadership.
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, revenue management, and cost control.
Proven people management skills, including team leadership, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills in multicultural environments.
Experience with strategic planning, service quality improvement, and brand standards implementation.
Ability to manage compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience as a General Manager or senior hotel leader in upscale or boutique properties in Vietnam.
Fluency in Vietnamese and strong proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Local candidate based in, or able to relocate to, the Côn Đảo
