We are looking for a hands-on Senior Generative AI Engineer to build production-ready enterprise chatbots, RAG-based knowledge systems, and LLM applications. The role combines AI application engineering, backend integration, evaluation, deployment, and production troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise Chatbot and RAG solutions end-to-end, from ingestion and retrieval to citation and evaluation.
- Integrate commercial or open-source LLMs with prompting, structured output, tool calling and guardrails.
- Develop backend APIs and AI services that connect GenAI capabilities with enterprise systems and data sources.
- Deploy and operate solutions in cloud or on-premises environments, with attention to latency, token cost, concurrency and stability.
- Implement enterprise controls such as authentication, authorization, permission-aware retrieval and secure data handling.
- Improve answer quality and reliability through grounding, hallucination mitigation, traceability and measurable evaluation.
- Troubleshoot issues across ingestion, retrieval, model behavior, application logic, integration and infrastructure.
- After onboarding, support technical discovery, feasibility assessment, PoC planning and rough estimation.
- Grow into the LLM / Chatbot Technical Owner, contributing reusable components, solution reviews and mentoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Software Engineering / AI Engineering experience preferred, candidates with 4+ years may be considered with proven production ownership.
- 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience, including 2+ years of recent experience in GenAI / LLM / RAG preferred.
- Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, with experience building production-ready solutions beyond notebooks or prototypes.
- Hands-on experience with at least one end-to-end RAG, enterprise chatbot, or comparable LLM application.
- Solid understanding of RAG and information retrieval, including chunking, embeddings, vector/hybrid search, metadata filtering, and reranking.
- Experience with backend/API integration, Linux, Git, and Docker.
- Comfortable with production deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting, not limited to development activities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to clearly explain architecture, technical trade-offs, risks, and limitations.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with advanced GenAI technologies, including open-source LLM serving (vLLM, TGI, Ollama), GPU inference, LoRA/PEFT, or model optimization.
- Experience with AI platform deployment and operations, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud or on-premises environments, AI observability, and evaluation tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise AI security and architecture, such as RBAC, tenant isolation, and permission-aware retrieval.
- Experience building Agentic AI, workflow orchestration, human-in-the-loop systems, or Document AI / Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions.
- Experience working directly with customers through technical workshops, discovery, solution consulting, or technical pre-sales.
- Experience delivering multilingual enterprise AI solutions, particularly for Vietnamese, English, or Japanese use cases.
