Atlantic Five-Star English is recruiting a Vietnamese
Academic Manager for our Five-Star English language centers in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Our students range from young learners to teenagers and young adults, studying a combination of General English, academic English, and IELTS exam preparation.
We offer a modern and well-resourced teaching environment with small class sizes, smartboards in every classroom, tablets for students, and strong academic support for both teachers and learners. Our teachers, classes, and facilities are a cut above the rest, and we are looking for an Academic Manager who shares the same high standards.
DUTIES
The Academic Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day academic functioning of Atlantic's two Five-Star English locations in Hanoi. The AM will work closely with the Acting Managing Director, who is responsible for the overall academic quality of the programs.
The Academic Manager will be responsible for:
• Leading the day-to-day academic operations of Atlantic Five-Star English Centers
• Recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and supporting teachers, TAs, tutors, and academic team members
• Conducting formal and informal lesson observations and providing constructive feedback
• Leading teacher meetings, workshops, training sessions, and professional development activities
• Supporting performance reviews and maintaining high academic standards across the teaching team
• Reviewing, revising, and developing curriculum, teaching materials, assessments, and academic resources
• Helping teachers understand and effectively implement the curriculum
• Tracking student progress, analyzing learning data, and supporting students in achieving their learning goals
• Developing and maintaining student and parent feedback systems, and responding to academic concerns when needed
• Working closely with Operations, Scheduling, HR, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth center operations
• Developing and standardizing academic SOPs, guidelines, handbooks, and work processes
• Supporting product training, outreach events, community events, and marketing activities
• Bringing and implementing new ideas to improve the quality and growth of Atlantic Five-Star English Centers
The ideal candidate will have an eye for problems that need to be solved, an ear for colleagues' needs, and a head full of ideas for building a great English language center. She or he will also be able to get things done and adapt flexibly to new duties as the center grows.
