Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Control Tower to lead and oversee our international logistics control tower operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our control tower processes, ensuring efficient, transparent, and reliable supply chain execution across our global network. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of international logistics and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end control tower operations for all clients in scope, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and internal operating procedures (IOPs) to support control tower processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
• Act as the primary point of contact for operational teams (origin and destination), fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
• Take ownership and responsibility for resolving issues, queries, and escalations, documenting progress and following up until resolution.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively identify areas for improvement in control tower operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to define and refine the product scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Lead and mentor a team of control tower specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Oversee invoicing processes to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Yêu cầu
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or control tower operations.
• Proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully leading and implementing complex projects.
• Strong understanding of international logistics, end-to-end ownership including transportation, customs, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using business and productivity tools such as ClickUp, Confluence.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Organized and methodical approach to work, with a strong attention to detail.
• Resolute attitude and willingness to take responsibility and ownership.
• Ability to learn and work in an agile framework with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate and command respect at all levels. Ability to effectively communicate in diverse technical, cultural, and language environments.
• Strategically astute to connect detailed operational concepts to what value they drive both for the company and its customers for long-term benefits.
• Strong ability to relate the operational processes with practical implications to customers and operational teams, thereby making balanced judgments.
• Analytical with proven proficiency in translating complex concepts and business requirements into easy-to-understand communication.
• Excellent project management skills to drive multiple global projects simultaneously and ensure full closure to agreed outcomes.
• Ability to effectively work in a remote environment with multiple stakeholders and team members across the globe and in different time zones.
• Strong technical acumen to grasp different technologies and tools for their application and relevance to operational purposes.
• Having worked in various geographies and/or having managed a scope spanning across multiple countries is a plus.
• Experience with Project Management methodologies.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles and best practices.
