Position: Head of Marketing, SHOPLINE Malaysia

About the role:

We're looking for someone who can build and strengthen our Marketing team foundation in Malaysia. You will be owning the local market marketing strategy, managing marketing roadmap, managing a diverse marketing team and OKR planning, seamlessly delivering all campaigns execution, creatively driving quality leads, and enabling our marketing team to operate effectively and scale productivity.

This role will directly report to the General Manager of Shopline Malaysia.

What you'll be doing:

Plan a local integrated marketing roadmap and execute effectively by prioritising the activities properly, to support the country achieving the competitive advantage in the market.
Overseeing and planning for content strategy and ensuring it works within brand guardrails while catering to the local market. The collaborativeness within the Business Development, Partnership and Product Marketing Team to ensure we're conveying the right message and tonation to our local target audience.
Building the bricks and manage a fruitful enrichment content marketing /editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties which include website, social media, blog posts, webinars, etc.
Handling internal and external communications such as writing and distributing press releases to the media to garner coverage; monitoring the news for mentions of the organization, its product and service, and key employees such as stakeholders and members of management.
Overseeing the strategies and growing new leads which include marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content.
Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing turns into customers, and continually refine our process to grow the leads volume and improve the conversion rate.
Plan and execute a full year marketing event calendar closely with the Sales, Partnership and Product Marketing team to increase our market awareness.
Research and understand current local e-commerce industry trends, competitors landscape and merchant profiles and develop creative targeted marketing strategy and campaigns.
Work with sales, product and operations teams to develop Go-To-Market strategies and support new product launches.
Manage and motivate team members, providing coaching for team to execute on a clearly defined marketing plan.
Manage the marketing budget and ensure alignment with Regional Marketing and Finance, tracking budget actuals and forecast performance.

Who We Are Looking For:

6+ years of tech marketing experience (Ideally in SaaS or eCommerce), 2 years experience directly leading a diverse marketing team of 4-6 people.
Proven ability to build, develop and manage a diverse marketing portfolio, including Lead Generation, Content & SEO, Events, Branding, and etc.
Experience working with a diverse team (Sales, Partnerships, Operations and Product Marketing), building strong rapports and driving results.
Project management experience with proven ability to execute cross functional projects according to scope, budget and timeline.
Knowledge of Digital Marketing Tools (Facebook and Google Paid Ads), Content & SEO, and project management tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong command in English & Mandarin (written and verbal), Malay would be a plus.
Ability to be a hands-on leader who will roll up your sleeves and work with the team.
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing working environment.
