I. Job Summary:
Head of Underwriting Department is fully responsible for managing the branch's operation and performance, underwriting process, customer service and cross-functional coordination. He/she must ensure target achievement of the branch within its budget and seeks growth opportunity in assigned areas and manage additional responsibilities/ projects assigned from time to time.
Report to Head of Credit Operation Division, Head of Underwriting Department plays one of the key management positions in Underwriting Department.
II. Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Credit process:
• Ensure the underwriting and loan process is operated smoothly, professionally and in compliance with Credit policy and business code.
2. Customer service quality:
• Ensure the best quality of customer service wherever customers are met and serviced from approaching potential customers to dealing with delinquent customers.
3. Expense control:
• Monitor and prepare report to track expenses within budget and favorably against national-wide Credit benchmarks. Track Credit's cost efficiency ratio vs. plan vs. Credit benchmarks.
4. Risk management:
• Responsible for managing possible risks that may arise from daily operation. Ensure to implement all necessary actions to prevent, identify and escalate all frauds in the Credit, both internally and externally to relevant departments.
5. Analysis and Report:
• Analyze and report Credit performance to ensure that Credit performance is recorded, analyzed and reported to Department Head on a regular basis with accuracy and in time-bound manner, along with comments and recommendations.

1. Qualification
• University degree majored in Finance & Banking, Business management qualification is preferred or relevant qualifications

• Minimum 05 years working experience in banking/consumer finance or relevant industry or business function
