Mô tả công việc

*Role purpose/mission:
• Build and manage a high-calibre team to build, own & operate 1.2GW of utility-scale renewables across SE Asia in the next 5yrs
• Design & run world-class processes to select and contract the most appropriate construction companies / OEMs / consultants on best-in-market terms
• Build relationships & negotiate with EPC and O&M contractors to achieve positive outcomes across both contracting and dispute resolution processes
• Identify and manage project development, construction, and operational risk
*Key responsibilities/outcomes 1:
Project Development: Development of early-stage projects, acquisition of
late-stage development projects with line of sight to a PPA
• Lead development activities in the early, mid, and/or late stages of the project, including securing relevant permits or approvals (land acquisition, grid connectivity, clearances, etc.) and management of external consultants or contractors
• Perform due diligence and investigate on background info and specs for the project, resource and site assessment, interconnection issues, feasibility studies, environmental and risk assessment, and secure land through land lease agreement or purchase
• Manage the entire project life cycle process from lead screening, site selection and land acquisition, to completion of development and financial close, and then take these projects through construction to COD
• Coordinate with the investment team, sponsors, engineering team and third-party contractors or consultants, in order to develop, perform due diligence and deliver projects according to the company plan and targets
• Assess sites and projects leads shortlisted for investment or acquisition while being cognizant of economic, administrative, environmental, contractual and technical considerations.
• Participate in meetings with government and regulatory stakeholders to influence decisions and secure opportunities for growing the business. Prepare proposals and presentations in line with the company's strategy and business interest
• Provide technical inputs to the BD or M&A team for preparation of bid proposals/documents
*Key Responsibilities/outcome 2:
Engineering, Procurement and Construction :
• Tendering and selection of EPC contractors/wind turbine suppliers / solar module suppliers
• Tendering and selecting Owners Engineer / advisors for deals / projects and managing relationships with advisors as required
• Structuring contracting strategy for EPC of new build projects
• Monitor key contractor performance and compliance with the EPC Contracts
• Ensure that EPC management systems are implemented and maintained
• Provide oversight and leadership to the Construction team to ensure construction timelines and budgets are met
• Negotiation of key contract terms and any disputes thereof
*Key Responsibility/outcome 3
Asset Management / O&M
• Underwrite operating assumptions (PLFs, operating costs, capex, life extensions etc), undertake diligence on technology (wind turbines or solar panels), land, approvals, regulations etc during evaluation of acquisition of operating assets
• Prepare a detail operational improvement plan for acquisition of operating assets
• Provide oversight to the asset management / O&M team to help them deliver the KPIs for operating projects, including:
• compliance with company ESG and health and safety requirements
• Utility billing and collections
• asset performance monitoring and improvements
• warranty and maintenance management
• force majeure and insurance management
*Key Responsibilities/outcome 4
General:
• Work closely with the CEO to manage the day-to-day running of the Platform's business requirements and ensure successful implementation of technical, commercial, operational, and administrative requirements in conjunction with other leadership functions within the Platform
• Ensure continuous improvement of, implementation of, and compliance with, Platform policies, management plans, and manuals
• Support the CEO in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with partners, contractors, utilities, community, and other key project stakeholders to enable the business to successfully operate
• Represent the Platform at meetings with EPC partners and developers as required
• Support the CEO in the preparation of weekly and monthly business reports to the Platform Board and Investment Committee providing updates and issues management
• Build and manage a team of high-calibre professionals to deliver the business plan

Yêu cầu

*Prior experience:
Essential requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in the Infrastructure, Utilities or Renewables sector, including minimum 5 years' experience in Renewables.
• Experience of delivering utility scale wind projects in Asia
• Early stage development experience including managing local developer relationships, regulatory liasioning, PPA negotiation, site scouting, land identification, grid connectivity applications etc
• Experience negotiating EPC and O&M agreements for renewable projects
• Project management skills but also possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Team management skills
Desired:
• Experience in delivering utility-scale wind projects in Vietnam
• Experience in delivering utility-scale solar projects in Vietnam and/or other ASEAN markets
• Experience in acquiring operating utility-scale renewable assets
