Mô tả công việc
SCOPE OF POSITION
A Host is responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus, and accepting phone calls.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Greet guests in a warm, welcoming, and courteous manner as they walk into the restaurant
Creating and managing guest waitlists as needed
Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff
Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
Finding the appropriate table for each guest according to their preferences and group size
Remembering table rotation and ensuring all servers receive the right number of guests
Engaging with guests to ensure the quality of food and customer service
Address guests' requests and handle complaints promptly and to their satisfaction.
Memorizing the menu and dietary options
Helping other staff members as needed during your shift
Always providing great customer service
Know and understand all the resort's facilities and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
A Host's duties primarily focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the restaurant.
Identify and anticipate customers' needs and expectations.
Establish a rapport with guests and build good customer relationships.
Inform management about guests' comments.
Work with an initiative to seek and offer assistance as required from team members or supervisors.
Interact with department and company team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively.
Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct.
Always remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Yêu cầu
Minimum of 2-year customer service experience in a five (5) star hotel environment.
Chinese restaurant-specific service qualification is an advantage.
Well-knowledge of Chinese cuisine
Height beyond 1.63 cm is necessary
Basic product knowledge of food & beverages and preparation methods; cash handling is an advantage.
Knowledge of POS Software.
Customer service oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills, good salesmanship.
Well-groomed, excellent hygiene, confident, friendly, and polite.
Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment.
Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demands.
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
Must be able to multitask.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to communicate in English to deal with guests and internal staff from international countries and knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese is an advantage.
