The Embassy of Ireland, Hanoi is seeking to recruit a Housekeeper for the Official Accommodation of the Ambassador. This is a full time position, subject to a probationary period and will start as soon as possible.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The precise range of duties will vary over time, but will include the following:
• Performing tasks in the Official Accommodation of the Ambassador of Ireland to maintain it in a representative state, including cleaning, sanitising, polishing and dusting of the Official Accommodation including linen, laundry care, windows and surrounding areas;
• Care and management of all state assets in the Official Accommodation;
• Adherence to safety guidelines- follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment;
• Maintenance of the Official Accommodation inventory;
• Weekly checks of full Official Accommodation to find and solve issues/determine repairs if needed;
• Record keeping at Official Accommodation;
• Customer Service - Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and effectively;
• Team Collaboration - Work with other staff members to ensure a smooth guest experience;
• Receiving deliveries and service providers;
• Supervision of the Official Accommodation premises, including liaison with Security Guards on site;
• Ensuring home appliances are in full working order;
• Ensuring that energy/water/waste services are delivered;
• Supervision of suppliers at the Official Accommodation, including gardener/pool maintenance;
• Purchase of small household items;
• Other duties as required from time to time and directed by the Ambassador as necessary.
Yêu cầu
Essential Requirements candidates must be able to demonstrate:
• 5 years' minimum experience working in housekeeping/hospitality;
• Fluency in English;
• The legal right to live and work in Vietnam prior to recruitment.
• High degree of integrity and trust;
• Reliable and can work on own initiative;
• Attention to detail;
• Strong organisational and management skills; and
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Terms and conditions of employment:
• The successful candidates will be hired on an initial fixed term contract. Upon successful completion of this period the appointee may be offered a contract of indefinite duration, subject to Mission requirements and satisfactory performance;
• The place of work will be the Official Accommodation of the Ambassador of Ireland, in Hanoi. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with standard office hours from 09:00 to 17:00;
• The starting salary for this position will be 10,024.00 USD per annum, paid locally on a monthly basis. This salary will receive annual increments on the relevant pay scale, subject to satisfactory performance. Salaries are paid directly to a bank account, therefore, the successful candidate must have a Vietnamese bank account;
• The position will require regular out of hours work in the evening/at weekend and will be agreed in advance.
• Annual Leave entitlement for this position will be 20 days per annum.
• The successful appointee, along with any spouse or children, will have the opportunity to join the Embassy of Ireland's insurance scheme for local staff members.

Selection Process:
• Depending on the number of applications received, a short-listing of candidates to be called for interview may be undertaken based on the Essential/Key Requirements above;

• It is planned that interviews will be held in August 2025.

Security Clearance for Local Staff
Police security clearance will be sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for appointment. Enquiries may also be made with the police force of any country in which the applicant under consideration for appointment resided. If unsuccessful, this information will be destroyed. If the applicant subsequently comes under consideration for another position, they will be required to supply this information again.
