1. Job Purpose
The HRBP Manager acts as a strategic partner to the Retail business unit, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
This role is responsible for supporting retail operations through effective talent management, workforce planning,
performance management, compensation & benefits, and organizational development to ensure sustainable growth.
2. Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
• Act as the primary HR contact for Retail Operations.
• Work closely with Retail Management to understand business needs and translate them into HR strategies.
• Provide consultation on HR policies, labor regulations, and people management.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
• Partner with the recruitment team to ensure timely hiring for retail stores and head office roles.
• Support workforce planning for store expansion and business growth.
• Ensure a strong talent pipeline for key retail positions such as Store Manager and Area Manager.
Performance Management
• Implement and monitor performance evaluation systems for retail employees.
• Support managers in setting KPIs and performance improvement plans.
• Drive a performance-oriented culture within the retail organization.
Employee Relations
• Handle employee relations issues and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Provide guidance to managers in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain a positive employee experience across retail stores.
Organizational Development
• Support leadership development and succession planning for retail management.
• Implement training and development programs for store teams.
• Identify organizational gaps and recommend HR solutions.
Compensation & Benefits (C&B)
• Coordinate the implementation of salary, bonus, and benefits policies aligned with company strategy and retail market practices.
• Monitor and analyze payroll costs, headcount costs, and HR budgets related to Retail operations.
• Participate in designing incentive schemes, commission structures, and reward programs for retail sales teams.
• Ensure proper implementation of payroll, social insurance, and employee benefits in compliance with labor regulations.
• Support performance review cycles and recommend salary adjustments or reward programs.
• Conduct market salary benchmarking within the retail and fashion industry.
HR Operations & Compliance
• Ensure all HR practices comply with labor regulations and company policies.
• Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports related to turnover, headcount, and workforce productivity.
• Participate in building and improving HR policies and processes.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
• At least 5 years of HR experience, including 2-3 years in an HRBP or
HR Manager role.
• Prior experience in Retail or Fashion industry is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-store operations is an advantage.
