Import & Export Manager

• Direct & oversee all import/export activities in designated manufacturing site including corporate and statutory reporting, planning of material and shipment.
• Responsible on dealing with any issues involving industrial parks, industrial park management boards, Local Planning & Investment Department.
• Responsible in dealing with forwarders for all inward and outward shipments.
• Responsible in dealing with other departments.
1. Compliance
Understand clearly license in connection to company's business and requirements.
Propose the amendments when needed due to changes in demand.
Lead team and co-ordinate with other departments to follow the import and export procedure, compliance with Customs law
Inform, explain, circulate and train to all staffs, team, forwarder and relevant II-VI subsidiaries any new or updated policy circulars issued by Customs
Instruct and train related partners to follow and compliance with Customs requirement for special import/export process of RG - Returned Goods, COP - Customer Owned Property & CFM - Customer Furnished Material shipments.
Submit relevant reports to Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Customs or other related government office timely.
Ensure to follow the procedure of import of used equipment, comply with the laws/regulations issued by government.
2. Import-Export process management, customs and related reports
The process is documented clearly, and documents record be kept compliance with Company policy
Ensure actual import and export shipments match with plan
Reporting of raw material import and shipment during the months should be accurate and submitted on time as per deadline set by the relevant authorities.
Complete internal Customs post clearance-audit every 6 months/ 1 year of each fiscal year to have corrective action, improvement if any.
3. Plan shipment (inbound and outbound) and cost management
Ensure shipping docs compliance with Customs regulation
Work out accurate timeline for planning import.
Ensure that shipment information is accurate and provided by related department as well as forwarders on a timely basis.
Work with carrier, forwarders to ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are done efficiently with cost-effective.
Cooperate with other sections to meet customers' satisfaction.
Optimize the process and utilize eRP/ MES to reduce manual work, minimize human error.
Frequently review cost of service, freight charge to work with logistic group of corporate for yearly cost reduction/ savings.
