Job Summary:
The
IT Manager will be in charge of managing all information technology operations throughout the resort. This includes ensuring system reliability, data security, and alignment with IHG brand standards. The role serves as a key support function to all departments, helping to optimize technology use, enhance guest experiences, and ensure smooth operations. The IT Manager reports directly to the Director of Finance & Business Support.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Oversight:
Supervise the setup, maintenance, and performance of IT infrastructure such as servers, network systems, telecommunication tools, and enterprise software.
Ensure all systems function securely, effectively, and with minimal downtime.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Enforce IT security practices and data protection measures in accordance with IHG guidelines and local legal requirements.
Perform routine audits and manage disaster recovery and data backup strategies.
Operational
IT Support:
Deliver prompt technical assistance to all departments to minimize disruptions.
Monitor and resolve issues related to critical systems including PMS, POS, internet services, email, and other essential applications.
Vendor Coordination & Budget Oversight:
Manage relationships with IT vendors for procurement, support, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Support the planning and control of the IT budget, aiming for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
IT Project Leadership:
Lead and implement IT initiatives such as system enhancements, new technology rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.
Ensure projects are executed on time and align with overall business objectives.
Training & Documentation:
Offer foundational IT training for staff and keep users informed of changes or updates to systems.
Keep comprehensive records and documentation of IT systems, procedures, and operational workflows.
Compliance with IHG Standards:
Guarantee that all IT practices are fully aligned with IHG corporate policies and technical standards.
Collaborate with IHG's regional IT teams for project implementation and technical support as required
Requirement
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in IT, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the hospitality sector.
Familiarity with hotel technology systems such as Opera PMS, POS platforms, and Purchase Plus is an advantage.
Proven experience in managing networks, implementing cybersecurity protocols, and diagnosing hardware and software issues.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in both English and Vietnamese, in both spoken and written forms.
