Infra Network Administrator

Job summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our IT team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our organization's local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other network systems. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure, supporting our business operations, and maintaining high levels of system availability.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Implementation:
• Design, configure, and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).
• Plan and implement network upgrades, migrations, and new network deployments.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Network Monitoring & Maintenance:
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Perform regular network maintenance, including patching, backups, and firmware upgrades.
• Implement and manage network monitoring tools and alerts.
Network Security:
• Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures (e.g., firewall rules, access control lists, VPNs).
• Monitor network security events, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Troubleshooting & Support:
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues to end-users and other IT teams.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions.
System Administration (as applicable/needed):
• Manage and administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
• Assist with server administration tasks related to network connectivity.
Vendor Management:
• Work with third-party vendors for network equipment, services, and support.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve network infrastructure.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities for network optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of IT policies and procedures.
