Injection Molding Process Engineer

• Sharply focus the global organization on creating systems, processes and methods for sustainable Quality leadership.
• Cascade the implementation of the Rieke Quality Vision, accelerating improvement and tightly weaving "a blanket of Quality" over the organization and products.
• Champion the TriMas Operating System (TOS) and Rieke Operational Excellence from a Quality and continuous improvement perspective.
• Identify and incorporate best-in-segment quality and external survey targets for all markets in which Rieke competes into performance targets.
• Verify the completeness and integrity of New Product Introduction and Launch Readiness deliverables.
• Lead and coach local resources on Total Quality mindset and execution through feedback and measurement systems.
• Participate in Rieke's global quality improvement process and monitor and coach regional implementation. Escalate global and regional program issues for swift resolution in accordance with Rieke's Quality Vision.
• Ensure compliance of all Vietnam -based operations in Quality task execution and "one voice" to the regional Management Team.
• Ensure Rieke product quality meets customer specifications.
• Maintain the company's quality systems in line with ISO9001 & BRC / IOP V4 requirements, and other certifications applicable to the markets served by the Vietnam-based operations.
• With the Vietnam-based Leadership Team, identify and develop continuous improvement project opportunities, leading activities and teams and facilitating training to support performance improvement across the business.
• Being a change agent leader, drive the cultural transformation necessary to achieve world class performance by the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Activities:
Injection Molding Process Engineer
• Sampling and process development of new and existing molds.
• Troubleshoot existing tooling -Collect and analyze data on individual processes to identify and improve process capability.
• Document and maintain mold process sheets for accuracy
• Creation of Process Flow Charts and PFEMA's
• Assist QA with the creation of Control plans
• Participate in new program quoting, mold design reviews, and formal print reviews
o Provide input on mold and automation designs to ensure they correlate with process and equipment planning
o Provided expertise and training on scientific injection molding practices.
o Write Design of Experiment (DOE) for new and modified processes.
o Provide technical support and leadership for cost reduction activities.
o Work with other departments to develop, strengthen, and maintain troubleshooting goals.
o Use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (DMAC), and other statistical techniques to analyze process data to determine capabilities as well as potential improvements
o Work with QA to establish and maintain consistent part quality and systems through SPC and DOE studies.
• Preventive Maintenance & regular Maintenance of the Molds.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
• Estimate production costs.
• Set production budgets.
• Manage production budgets.
• Implement cost control programs.
• Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management.
• Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
• Overseeing production processes.
• Organizing relevant training sessions for the team .
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
• Identify, develop and drive continuous improvement activities and change management initiatives.
• Identification and application of the appropriate methodology (tools) for initiatives identified.
• Work closely with, and support, senior management colleagues to deliver a united front to the rest of the business.
• Deliver objectives as agreed and outlined in the Performance Review process.
OVERALL
Carry out other duties as is within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your Line Manager.
Work closely with the corporate team to develop and deploy common practices and policies in quality, HSE and continuous improvement.
