Java Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer to support our client in the banking and financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and backend performance optimization.
Employment Type: Contract - 6 months, renewable every 6 months based on project requirements and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the client in developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend systems for banking and financial applications.
Design, develop, and maintain APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient microservices architectures.
Work with relational databases, optimize SQL queries, and improve database performance.
Implement caching mechanisms and message queue solutions to support efficient data processing.
Handle concurrency-related challenges to ensure data consistency, reliability, and system stability.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization, application profiling, and system tuning.
Collaborate directly with the client's technical team and relevant stakeholders to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions.
Provide technical support, investigate production issues, and contribute to continuous improvements of backend systems.
Requirements
3-5 years of working experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of API design and development.
Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL query optimization.
Hands-on experience with caching mechanisms and message queue technologies.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience handling concurrency, synchronization, and data consistency challenges.
Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting complex backend issues.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the client's technical team.
