We are looking for Engineering Manager to join our ambitious team at our Sricity Plant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the engineering function of the plant.
- Develops capacity growth plan and equipment requirements for the plant as per roadmap.
- Leads the Automation and Technology requirements of the plant including preparing a roadmap and ensuring timely execution of projects to derive automation.
- Leads the SMART factory requirements for the facility.
- Keeps abreast of the latest technologies and advancements in the field and ensures facility technology/Automation roadmap is updated and implemented accordingly.
- Responsible for development of tools as per manufacturing needs.
- Ensures timely execution of the assigned projects.
- Prepares the Skill matrix for the team and facilitates development actions of the team as per Skill matrix.
- Prepares Facility Repair Budget and adheres to the same. Strives for Cost Reduction; adopts a ROI approach in decision making.
- Develops Measurements, sets Goals, develops action plans & ensures implementation to drive continuous Improvement in creating a safe, pleasant & clean workplace;
- Ensures that engineering services providers comply with CP's laid down Safety protocols and deliver Quality in terms of workmanship & reliability.
- Accords top priority to EHS & Quality by ensuring that Pollution Abatement Equipment, Exposure limiting Equipment ( Acoustic Enclosures, Local Exhaust Ventilation etc ), Machine Guarding , Rescue Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Ventilation Units, Contamination preventive measures etc. are working and operating within permit limits at all times.
- Draws up and Implements effective Inspection/Monitoring/Testing and Maintenance schedules.
- Ensures that all Inspection, testing and Maintenance activities are carried out by trained and authorized personnel.
- Carries out periodic inspection and takes corrective and preventive actions. Adopts root cause elimination approach to drive sustains compliance.
- Ensures that all activities carried out by Contractors are performed in an EHS compliant manner.
- Accords priority to Engineering controls Vs. Administrative controls.
- Draws up plans for Equipment Management to improve product Quality & prevent contamination;
- Carries out Equipment/Process Capability studies and takes measures to address gaps.
- Establishes correlation between Equipment operating conditions and Quality defects and trains Operations Team members in preventing/ troubleshooting Quality problems.
- Evaluates Equipment design to identify sources of contamination and takes appropriate preventive measures.
- Ensures a structured MOC Review for major changes initiated in terms of Equipment Modifications, reorganization of equipment, major changes in Maintenance work practices etc to avoid any adverse impact on EOHS and Quality.
- Participates in the development of the annual training plan starting with identification of training needs for the Maintenance Technicians, supports its implementation and monitors effectiveness.
- Ensures employees in the Engineering department understand and comply with laid down protocols of Incident/Injury/Accident reporting and investigation. Intervenes to verify reports, follow-ups to ensure corrective and preventive measures are identified and implemented in a timely manner. Adopts a "Root Cause" elimination approach.
- Updates the Operations Team and Facility Management Team on a periodic basis;
- Shares plans, seeks inputs and provides updates in terms of progress of implementation as well as results during daily meetings.
- Updates Facility Management team during the weekly Operations review meet, Monthly PPR's , EHS & Quality review meetings.
- Carries out all EHS and Quality tasks/activities assigned to him through the R & R Matrix in a timely manner and provides feedback/update at appropriate forums.
Required Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Minimum 10 yrs of relevant experience
- B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation / robotics
- Should have good experience in the area of Automation and Robotics, Predictive Tools, IOT, PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Should have implemented automation projects.
