Role Purpose:
- Lead the development, enhancement, and governance of credit risk policies for the corporate segment, while also contributing to and managing policies that apply across the entire bank (covering both retail and corporate portfolios).
- Ensure credit policies are aligned with the bank's risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and business strategy, while maintaining a balanced approach between risk control and sustainable growth.
- This role is expected to actively challenge existing practices and contribute to building a stronger, more forward-looking risk framework at the bank level.
- This role is suitable for candidates who want to move beyond case-by-case credit work into shaping credit policy and risk framework at a bank-wide level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy Development & Governance
- Develop, review, and update credit risk policies for corporate lending (micro SME, SME, Mid-Corp, Large Corporate)
- Contribute to and maintain bank-wide credit policies (e.g., credit principles, approval authority, collateral standards, classification approach)
- Define underwriting frameworks, risk assessment standards, and delegation of authority
- Ensure policies are clear, consistent, and applicable across different segments
2. Risk Framework & Strategy Translation
- Translate risk appetite into practical policy frameworks and guidelines
- Work closely with Risk Analytics to incorporate data insights, portfolio trends, and risk models into policy design
- Ensure consistency between corporate and retail policies where applicable
- Support development of key risk principles (e.g., industry limits, concentration, collateral standards, exception frameworks)
- Provide structured guidance for complex or non-standard credit cases
3. Portfolio Monitoring & Policy Optimization
- Monitor portfolio trends (sector concentration, rating migration, early warning signals, NPL trends)
- Identify structural issues and propose policy enhancements
- Conduct impact assessment for policy changes across segments
4. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Corporate Risk, Retail Risk, Business Units, and Risk Analytics teams
- Collaborate with analytics teams to define data requirements, interpret analysis, and translate insights into actionable policy adjustments
- Provide independent risk views on business proposals, especially complex or large exposures
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders on policy direction and implementation
5. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure policies comply with SBV regulations and relevant legal frameworks
- Support regulatory inspections, internal audit, and policy-related reviews
- Maintain alignment with industry best practices
6. Process & Control
- Strengthen policy governance (documentation, approval workflows, version control)
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies across units
- Provide clarification and guidance on policy-related matters
Yêu cầu
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years in credit risk or credit products, preferably with exposure to corporate lending
- Experience in credit policy, credit assessment, or risk management
- Exposure to cross-segment or bank-wide frameworks is a strong advantage
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of corporate credit analysis (financials, cash flow, industry risk)
- Familiarity with credit frameworks (rating systems, collateral valuation, risk grading)
- Ability to structure policies and translate qualitative judgment into clear guidelines
- Understanding of SBV regulations and credit risk governance
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and judgment
- Confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders across levels
- Clear communication, especially on complex credit topics
- Ownership mindset and ability to work with ambiguity
