**Position Objective**
The Korean Liaison position is a shared position between Admissions & Marketing and the Community Engagement Departments.
One of the key roles of the Korean Liaison is to support daily communication between Korean Community and ISHCMC- from teachers, operational staff, and students at both Primary and Secondary Campuses to our external partners. Sitting within the Community Engagement Department, the Korean Liaison will support activities, projects, and events as required.
Another key role is to drive the growth of the Korean student population through partnerships in the Korean community while supporting admissions with communication to these same prospective student families.
**Responsibilities**
For the general duties of a community liaisons, all ISHCMC community liaisons, including the Korean Liaison, will be guided by the Lead, Liaison Team (individual) who will set standardized practices on how liaisons engage with various departments and stakeholders. This Lead is typically also a community liaison. For general supervision, accountability, pastoral, and professional development, all liaisons including the Korean liaisons will report to the Director, Community Engagement. A dotted line supervision will be to the Director, Admissions & Marketing for activities related to engagement with prospective families considering ISHCMC.
The range of duties are including but not limited to:
**Community Engagement (on average 2/3 of time)**
• Assist and participate in activities, projects, and/or events
• Act as a translator and liaison between staff, students, and parents of Korean students
• Run and support ISHCMC KakaoTalk, WhatsApp groups or any other social media channel where the ISHCMC Korean Community may be engaged
• Report and support with any communication between ISHCMC and the Korean Community
○ Translation services between ISHCMC and parents/students (e.g. parent-teacher conferences, academic workshop)
○ Assist Korean student with student support services (e.g. safeguarding / counseling) for any social-emotional needs, engagement with Future Pathways counselors, etc.)
○ Support Korean transfer students to acclimate to ISHCMC
○ Attend coffee mornings or other regular meetings with Korean Community.
○ Support parents/students with documents applying to Korean universities and work with Korean universities visiting ISHCMC.
○ Provide and facilitate a means of communication & support, and help our Korean families understand ISHCMC's culture, processes, and expectations
• Translate school communications and publications as required
• Attend weekly secondary communication meetings with principals, the communication manager, and the alumni coordinator
• Together with ISHCMC's Alumni Relations Coordinator, support the tracking and engagement with Korean Alumni
• Submit recurring reporting and information of activities to the reporting manager
• Perform other tasks as requested by the direct report
**Admissions & Marketing (on average 1/3 of time)**
• Liaise with Korean partners and prospective parents to enhance recruitment, understand needs, and promote the school.
• Set weekly/monthly/termly admissions-related referral and offer goals.
• Together with the Director of Admissions & Marketing, support the building of strong relationships with Korean corporate partners, vendors, and feeder schools to enhance the brand and the growth in the Korean student population.
• Attend business events and meetings, community events, and ISHCMC events with Korean groups in attendance to promote the ISHCMC brand and generate referrals.
• Drive the development and maintenance of an ISHCMC marketing channel exclusively in Korean to entice prospective Korean community members to join/partner/engage with ISHCMC. Examples include a Korean-language Instagram channel, business-focused KaKao Talk channel, etc.
• Assist in marketing and admissions event planning as needed
• Lead parent and group tours for Korean-speaking families as needed
• Engage with Korean-only speaking prospective families via Kakaotalk and other popular IM platforms.
• Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes and report on key metrics.
Yêu cầu
The job holder's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person's for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times.
If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School's Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of School or indeed to the Regional CEO or Safeguarding Manager - Asia so that a referral can be made accordingly to the statutory services.
The staff member must strictly follow the ethical and payment implementation practices of our vendor contracts with guidance from the Head of School.
