Set up, control, and continuously improve (parameters, recipes, work instructions).
Monitor critical process parameters (e.g. concentration, temperature, current density, pH, time) and react promptly to out‐of‐control conditions.
Analyze process and production data (defects, quality) and lead root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions.
Ensure plated parts meet product specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
Create and maintain process documentation: control plans, WI, bath make‐up / maintenance instructions, checklists, chemical inventory and MSDS.
Support internal and external audits related to plating processes and special processes qualification.
Coordinate with maintenance team / IT team to ensure high uptime and reliability of plating lines, associated handling equipment, rectifiers, filtration, agitation, and ventilation.
Recommend and support equipment upgrades, new tooling, jigs, racks, and automation to improve quality, capacity, and cost.
Manage chemical baths in the lab: XRF / ICP / Hull cell analysis, bath life management, dummying, and disposal.
Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company policies for chemical handling, PPE, waste treatment, and effluent discharge.
Support compliance with relevant regulations and customer requirements (e.g. RoHS, REACH, local environmental laws, heavy‐metal restrictions).
Participate in new product introduction (NPI): feasibility, sample builds, process window definition, and plating specification review.
Lead or support continuous improvement and cost‐reduction projects (cycle time, chemical consumption, scrap, energy).
Train workers on plating processes, work instructions, quality standards, and safety practices.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, IT, and
Purchasing to resolve issues and support customer needs.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
At least 1 year of experience in electroplating, surface treatment, metal finishing, or similar process‐intensive manufacturing.
Solid knowledge of plating chemistry, surface preparation, and defect mechanisms (burning, pitting, peeling, blistering, roughness, thickness variation, etc.).
Experience with process control tools and problem‐solving methodologies.
Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and plating standards.
