Kỹ Thuật Viên Phòng Thí Nghiệm (Lab Technician)

1. To provide support to chemist in product development , product improvement and value creation work
Make paint in lab scale and conduct lab testing and application tests with guidance from chemist
Run paint and gather information in the evaluation of new raw materials as alternative source of supply or for value creation
Assist the Chemist to supervise the operations worker on paint trial of formulations.
Gather information for inclusion/improvement in production processes.
2. To provide colour support for New Product Development/new colour card
Conduct product evaluation and benchmarking test with guidance from chemist
Colour match colours requested by marketing based on set guidelines
Provide feedback to technical lead/chemist on any colours that are unable to meet set criteria
Prepare paper standard for marketing, production and laboratory.
Provide colour formula for chemist to verify and input into business system
3. To provide support to Production for colour recipe accuracy and route of manufacturing.
Propose colour adjustment to recipe to achieve required BOMA (bill of material accuracy)
Decide on type and quantity of tinters to use for colour formulations based on basic guidelines
Recommend route of manufacturing colours based on quantity requested. Approval will be given by Senior chemist or Technical Lead
4. To provide sales support in terms of panel generation, free samples, new colour formula.
To deliver requests based on set lead time guidelines
Review available resources (e.g. paper, paint availability) and feedback to Chemist on realistic date of delivery
Decide on route of samples preparation with set guidelines from Technical lead
Prepare wet samples by recanning or colour matching from scratch.
Prepare dried samples by casting paint samples on white paper
5. To provide support to Department in terms of PPE and tools management
Order PPE and tool for testing activities of department
Monitor annual fee of PPEs and tools
6. To assist in the Implementation of HSES plan as set by Technical Lead
To assist in the Implementation of HSES initiatives with guidance from Supervisor
Adhere to all work safety procedure, laboratory procedure
Provide input for submission of required HSES report on monthly or quarterly basis.
Maintain the housekeeping standard of laboratory
