Laboratory Engineer (Operator and Maintenance Technician)

Maintenance and repair equipment of all machines in the Global production engineering and management - GPEM & Mechanical engineering - ME laboratory: make document and record maintenance log.
Maintain record of equipment wise maintenance/ mechanical failures/ breakdown in equipment, and provide breakdown reports of the same to Head of laboratory to prevent repetitive failures.
Preparing and Operating machines in the GPEM &ME lab: CNC Milling, CNC Turning, ECM, EDM, W-EDM, Grinding, Injection molding...
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Support the procurement process of new equipment and software; Perform acceptance tests of new equipment.
Support inventory planning and management of assigned laboratories consumables and purchase requests for minor equipment.
Implement and maintain laboratory safety.
Developing, setting up, and conducting laboratory experiments for courses of the study program.
Prepare the contents and support lecturers in instructing students and supervising students conducting laboratory experiments and assess their laboratory reports.
Assisting students in projects, such as bachelor theses.
Taking part in demonstrations and exhibitions for larger VGU's events such as Opening Ceremonies or Education Fairs, as well as academic events such as conferences.
Cooperating with other laboratory engineers.
Do training activities related to associated labs for industrial companies; Do production-related projects using the assigned labs for industrial companies as requested by faculty;
Supporting research projects under the guidance of faculty.
Acting as invigilator for exams of all study programs, if required.
