Responsibilities
Develop a good understanding of market expectations for localization quality and how Google's products fit in the market, and create language strategy to enable native language experience to users.
Become a critical partner for the Indonesia-focused teams with stakeholders in Marketing, Product, and Communications to enable native language experiences for Google's products for Indonesian users.
Engage regularly with local stakeholders to understand their priorities, and share updates on language strategy and global localization services.
Ensure Google's translation and review vendors deliver high quality translations that align with Google's language standards. Assess vendor metrics to identify issues/trends, and use metrics to drive improvements with local vendors.
Create and meaningfully evolve Indonesian language guidelines (e.g., Style Guide, Terminology) and Indonesian language strategy for Google, taking into account input from users, stakeholders, and tech language industry trends.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience as a Bahasa Indonesian translator,
linguist, copywriter, writer, or editor.
Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia and English fluently to fulfill core aspects of the role.
Preferred qualifications:
MBA or Master's degree.
Experience in program management.
Experience in partner/stakeholder management while working with cross-functional teams and across time zones.
Experience with video, creative, localization, journalism, public communications, or the online marketing/advertising industry.
Ability to relate to ambiguity, work independently, and chart the direction of projects.
