LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

- Hand over items found in the linens and sorting areas immediately to Team Leader.
- Ensures all empty trolleys are stacked neatly after working shift and ready for the next shift.
- Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
- Reads the hotel&039;s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel&039;s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Operate the equipment accordingly e.g. sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold and package guest laundry and dry cleaning, uniform (if needed).
- Ensures that all working equipment function properly, following instructions and report to Team Leader of any equipment malfunctions and related incidents, including those of guest garments.
- Ensures surrounding areas are kept clean at all times
- Pick up / deliver uniforms from / to linen room.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform other unexpected duties as requested e.g. cleaning spills; follow up on special guest requestsAssist other Housekeeping attendants in maintaining clean public areas.
- Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow- up.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned and in order to adhere to health standards.
- Assist to hand out / collect uniforms.
- Responds to changes in the Laundry functions as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
- Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area
- Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
- Pick up / deliver laundry / valet from / to guest rooms.
- Supports the implementation of the People Brand, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt's Values and Culture Characteristics.
- Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.
- Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations.
- Log, tag and package guest laundry.
