Lead Software Engineer NextJS/NodeJS/PostgreSQL

We are seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer with experience with video streaming platforms and e-commerce website development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Drive the development and implementation of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee the technical aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables and with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and contribute to the product roadmap
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional growth.
• Lead code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and resilient web applications using [protected info], [protected info], and other relevant technologies
• Implement SEO optimisation techniques to improve website visibility and organic search ranking
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Design and optimise database models and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS services (such as EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloudfront, Route53...) ensuring high availability and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues on time
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to improve the platform

• Having experience in video streaming platforms is highly desired
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in [protected info] and JavaScript ecosystem
• Proficiency with [protected info], including server-side rendering technique
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
• Solid understanding of AWS services (particularly EC2, Lambda and S3)
• Proficiency in building large-scale websites and streaming platforms is highly desirable
• Proficiency with databases and data modelling (e.g., GraphQL, SQL, NoSQL)
• Experience implementing wireframe designs created in Figma by the UX team
• Experience with a wide variety of continuous integration and source control tools
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing all project life cycle stages from requirements implementation and enhancements.
