Roles & Responsibilities
• Identify and assess legal risks arising from daily business activities, contracts, and operational processes, ensuring issues are analyzed in the context of the overall business flow rather than in isolation.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts and legal documents, identify key risks, and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions and implementation.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure alignment between contractual terms and actual business practices.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to F&B operations, including licensing, permits, and operational requirements.
• Support licensing and post-licensing procedures for restaurants and other business lines, including tracking and follow-up to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Work closely with internal departments (Operations, Finance, HR, etc.) to provide timely legal support, clarify legal requirements, and assist in resolving issues.
• Coordinate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, partners) when required, under the guidance of the Legal Manager.
• Maintain and organize legal documentation and filing systems to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
• Track and manage assigned legal matters to ensure timely completion, with prioritization based on risk level and business impact.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory updates and report key changes or potential impacts to the Legal Manager.
• Provide periodic updates to the Line Manager on ongoing matters, identified risks, and status of assigned tasks.
• Support the Legal & Compliance Manager in handling legal projects and ensuring effective implementation of legal-related workstreams.
Yêu cầu
• Having experience in working law firms and legal departments in-house, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas, with experience in multiple areas being an advantage: commercial law, corporate matters, contract management, and regulatory compliance (experience in F&B or multi-location operations is an advantage).
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of corporate law, contract and commercial law, including country-specific laws.
• Competent in contractual documentation drafting and negotiations.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify legal issues within the broader context of business operations, including understanding the sequence of events, related transactions, and potential downstream implications.
• Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate legal concepts in a clear, structured, and practical manner to non-legal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail while maintaining a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively, with clear organization and prioritization.
• Demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally and support internal stakeholders as a reliable legal partner.
