Legal Counsel (No Experience Required)

Level: Manager
* The Legal Manager is responsible for ensuring the compliance of Company with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, and offering legal advice on, providing, or where necessary, procuring any legal activities needed by Company.
* Provide leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the Legal department.
* Has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all legal related activities of the Company.
• Provide legal advice to all departments;
• Review and draft contracts, internal policies and other legal documents to ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
• Draft insurance product provisions;
• Handle litigation related to claims, insurance contract and others;
• Set up regulatory legal framework and procedures to be complied with by relevant departments and ensure the effectiveness of the framework and procedures;
• Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
• Update laws and regulations; assessing legal risks and prepare Legal and Regulatory Compliance reports and certificate;
• Communicate new legal documents related to the operations of the company, organize for the implementation and ensure that departments within the company understand and comply with these regulations;
• Conduct training to all staffs on policies of the company and the law to ensure that they are duly updated with latest regulations of the company and the law;
• Support to develop Agency Code of Conduct, Disciplinary and Termination procedures, Cooperation Procedures between Agency Development and Agency Compliance section on agency compliance issues;
• Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
• Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
• Provide legal advice to all company and departmental policy, procedure, process, guideline, flow charts, manual, ... to ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements and they are effective and efficiency to company.
• Provide continuous leadership, supervision, training and development of department staff ensuring an effective and motivated team.
