A progressive role that will lead the legal team and provide legal counselling service for both external and internal stakeholders
Description
Direct participation in all relevant projects, negotiations and business expansion. As a start, you will collaborate effectively with team members to achieve overall executive objectives, reporting directly to the Head of Legal.
* Business partnering: Manage and develop strong relationship with key stakeholders within the organisation to enhance organisation growth.
* Assist and offer appropriate end to end legal, commercial, regulatory, and compliance advice for internal stakeholders, for i.e. senior executives, head of departments.
* Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organisation. Drive best legal practice, ensure legal compliance within the company.
* Conduct research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decision and operations. Recommend necessary changes in internal procedures to comply with changes in both local and international regulations.
* Advising the business on multiple legal topics (corporate, labour, education) in conjunction with providing support and guidance to the expansion of the business.
* Oversight of the issues management process to ensure that risk and compliance incidents are captured, analysed, escalated as required, corrective action taken and progress reported.
* Prepare and evaluate contractual agreement between corporate and third parties to ensure company's full legal rights and minimise legal risk.
* Collaborate with external lawyers and liaise with regulators or public authority on any dispute matters.
Profile
* LL.M from a law school, foreign university graduates are preferred
* Solid background with at least 6 years of experience in corporate/ labour/commercial law
* Vast experience in private practice advising foreign-invested companies is preferred
* Staff management skill:able to cultivate a strong relationship with individuals from diverse organisational and cultural backgrounds
* Registered at a local bar
* Independent and self-directed individual
* Strong commercial acumen
* Fluent in English and Vietnamese
