Main purpose of job:
(50%) To provide support for the Chevening Scholarship Programme, overseeing budgets to ensure value for money and managing the Chevening database; providing logistical and administrative support for travel and visits, events and promotional activities, translation and interpretation and acting as a point of contact.
(40%) To provide administrative, logistical and financial support for the Embassy's Prosperity and Political teams, including management of the sections' entertainment, travel and learning and development budgets and liaising with government and other contacts.
(5%) To act as a flexible resource for the wider embassy.
(5%) To carry out strategic export licence checks as required, liaising with end users and relevant companies.
The successful candidate will be expected to embody the UK Civil Service code.
