Logistics manager

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the efficient flow of products from manufacturing facilities to distributors. This involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery, minimize costs, and meet customer demands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and implement logistics strategies: Create and execute comprehensive logistics plans that align with the company's business objectives, considering factors such as product perishability, demand fluctuations, and distribution channels.
2. Manage transportation operations: Select and coordinate transportation carriers, negotiate rates, and optimize routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective product movement.
3. Ensure timely order fulfillment: Coordinate order processing, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
4. Team management: Lead and develop a team of logistics members, providing guidance, training, and support to high performance and good working spirit. Train and manage team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
5. Analyze data and metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and transportation costs. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
6. Ensure compliance: Adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to logistics, including food safety, quality control, and environmental standards.
7. System-wide delivery chain management: Ensure efficient operation of the delivery chain from suppliers/distribution centers to stores, including ordering, delivery and inventory management.
8. Process optimization: Build and deploy efficient logistics operations, minimize costs and delivery times, and ensure product quality to customers.

10. Planning and forecasting: Coordinate with relevant departments to plan product demand forecasts, thereby planning appropriate supply and distribution.
11. Supplier relations: Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality goods and on-time delivery.
12. Reporting and analysis: Conduct periodic reports on logistics status, analyze data and propose improvement solutions.
