Position Overview:
- Responsible for ensuring Plant and Equipment Reliability of the Factory through direct reports and, by extension, with all other functions. Establish excellent relationships with all functional leaders and external (3rd party) leaders involved in production process development, launch and manufacture.
- Overseeing and being involved in the installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
- Manufacturing responsibilities include all aspects of the Operations business in the areas of Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the uptime of plant and equipment, as well as ensuring spare parts inventory is maintained whilst ensuring consideration for the Maintenance budget.
- Ensuring execution of business plans which deliver year-on-year performance efficiencies through a Continuous Improvement culture. Working with the Technical manager to achieve and sustain business results.
- Coach, train, develop and motivate team members to optimise overall business performance with company policy.
- Drive a proactive Maintenance culture, ensuring preventative Maintenance programs are continuously improved, developed and completed as per equipment provider requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities in the facilities including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs
- Ensures High quality execution of Maintenance, leading Preventive/predictive crews, Engineers, Tool Crib, and Facilities
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Coach, mentor, train and develop maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Manage the maintenance expenses by ensuring best practices in the industry
- Build an upkeep long term relationships with contractors and service providers
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
- Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians, janitors etc.)
- Manage relationships with contractors and service provider
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with company policy
Position Requirements:
- 6+ years' experience in maintenance manager role in manufacturing company, preferably the battery manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
- Fluent in English (both verbal & written)
