Marine Maintenance Engineer

• To carry out or supervise maintenance, repair work, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance on marine machinery and equipment. Ensure the marine machinery spaces kept clean & tidy with fire hazards removed.
• To be aware of class and flag survey requirements and undertake or supervise the preparation of machinery or equipment for survey.
• Be familiar with the facility's marine plant and shall ensure that the maintenance staff under his control are adequately trained in their safe operation and maintenance.
• Ensure that he has knowledge of PVEP-CUU LONG safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, Company policy and instructions.
• Shall assist the Marine Maintenance Supervisor with the preparation of the scope of work, materials, manpower, paper work, supervision of major repairs, & modifications.
• To maintain accurate records, which shall be readily retrievable, and conform to the Facility Management System (FMS), to prepare data for entry in the daily report and the Maximo system.
• To liaise with Material Controllers on ordering of stores and spare gear and maintenance of onboard stock levels, to ensure that the facility's operational capabilities and safety are not jeopardized.
• To carry out bunkering operations and ensure that all preventative measures are taken when bunkering in port or offshore.
• Responsible to prepare and implement the correct PTW, Isolation, JSA, Risk Assessment and other supplement documents which require for all Marine maintenance activities following Company's procedures.
• Ensure PM/CM jobs are reported exactly included manpower and material using.
• Support Supervisor to prepare (manpower, material) and well co-ordinate with other teams to implement planned shutdown task effectively (safely and minimize down time).
• Manage and Minimize PM/CM back log.
• Well co-operate with other offshore teams for troubleshooting on time, safe and minimize down time.
• Complete safety training programs on time that company required.
• Support MC to check the received materials are the same as the approved IU.
• To perform gas tests and confirm/verify isolations as per permit to work system and confined space entry permits.
• Act as a delegate supervisor on work as required by the Marine Maintenance Supervisor.
• Be aware of and uphold company policy regarding "Health, Safety and Environment" also the "Environmental Protection Policy".
• To maintain Engine Room watch keeping during offtakes, or as required.
• Liaise with direct subordinates and contractor marine maintenance activities on marine equipment.
• Develop and implement reliability based programs and monitoring in collaboration with onshore maintenance support group.
• Implement the training program for staff as guided by the Marine Maintenance Supervisor including HSE, technical CBTAs and provide competence assessment.
• Be fully conversant with the FPSO Emergency Response Plan and his role within this plan, and is always prepared for such eventuality. Take part in emergency response as emergency response procedure required.
• Has knowledge of safety requirements, including permit to work systems, operational and emergency procedures, company policy and instructions and will assist to ensure that the facilities marine technical staff are aware off them.
