Mechanical Design Engineer

Directly reporting to Modernization Manager in Existing Installation Department, you will be in charge of Layout and Sales Engineering for lift modernization projects, with detailed tasks as below:
Costing:
- Coordinate with Mod Center to get solution, cost and prepare budget quotations
- Provide project sketches / drawings
- Tender study, system configuration, preparation of offers, price and cost calculations, including tender deviations, qualifications, alternative proposals
- Specify lift material and process material orders
- Clarify & calculate variation orders
- Coordinate offer and order flow with internal (e.g. Service Manager, Purchasing, Application Engineering, Logistics) and external departments (e.g. suppliers)
Layout:
- Review and study architectural layout
- Prepare tender layout drawing for Lifts and Escalators (full product range)
- Prepare contract drawing after award for Lifts and Escalators (full product range)
- Prepare car interior layout upon request
- Provide tech support to internal and external customer, site checking, technical solution...
- Get approval solution from Mod Center and Engineering Center
- Complete As-built drawings for technical inspection before hand-over and handover to client.
Other:
- Complete pre-site survey for sales and site survey for fulfillment
- Provide support for internal (Sales Mod, Mod project manager, ...) & external (architects, designer, consultant) customer in term of technical background, product knowledge.
