Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Ho Chi Minh City Metropolitan Area. This role involves designing mechanical components and assemblies for robotics and automation systems, from concept through detailed design and release. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models and drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, selecting materials and components, and supporting prototyping and testing activities.
The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, controls, and manufacturing, to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and cost requirements. The role also includes preparing documentation, supporting design reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical design problems.
Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including the development of mechanisms and structural components.
Experience in Product Design, with a focus on translating functional requirements into manufacturable mechanical solutions.
Hands-on skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) for 3D modeling and technical drawings.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Ability to work on-site, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
Experience with robotics, automation systems, or industrial machinery design is an advantage.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and basic tolerance and GD&T practices is beneficial.
