MEP Construction Manager

Managing and overseeing the construction management of MEP works on 2 projects including coordination and reporting, tendering and procurement, quality, safety, schedule and change management (Vos and value engineering) and coordination of specialist MEP packages (IT, Kitchen, AV, Car parking machine and swimming pool)
Key Responsibilities
• Reviewing method statements, shop drawings and material submittals.
• Managing the construction supervision consultancy's MEP team on site.
• Overseeing safety, quality and schedule of all MEP works on site.
• Ensuring ITPs and quality plans and procedures are adhered to.
• Reviewing MEP method statements to ensure they are acceptable in terms of quality, safety and practicality.
• Monitoring the MEP contractors schedules, manpower and progress and ensuring that they match the approved master schedule.
• Assisting with Tender process and reviewing main contractors proposed method statements.
• Initiating and managing Value Engineering process as required.
• Compiling the level 3 Master schedule with the project manager.
• Defining and monitoring the project's critical path activities.
• Reporting on critical milestones and critical issues.
• Runs construction management meetings.
• Checking BOQs, contracts, RFPs IPCs and other contract documentation.
• Coordinating with the operator.
• Interfacing with MEP aspects of the OSE Project Management Consultancy.
• Issues (NCRs), Site instructions etc.
• Signing off IPCs, Vos etc.
• Resolve problems and coordination issues.
• Tracking local authority approvals and coordinating with the local authorities and DOC.
• Ensuring Electronic Document management system is being implemented and coordinating with project controls team.
• Managing OSE and FFE project management team and ensuring time/cost/quality targets are met.
• Assisting with design coordination and resolution of RFIs.
• Managing the direct MEP contractors and specialist MEP packages (Kitchen, Audio Visual, Mobile Booster, IT equipment, Lighting Controls and Swimming pool).
