Job Description:
• Work together and report directly to senior merchandiser and Director.
• Collaborate with head office to develop, implement and follow up the sourcing strategic plan for Liverpool Vietnam.
• Source new factories and products in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
• Work actively with evaluation and development of existing as well as new suppliers.
• Set up and develop the international supplier database.
• Plan for buyer visits and accompany during supplier visits, trade shows and factories.
• Work with price and quotation management.
• Effective negotiations with suppliers and factories.
• Coordinate the contract and businesses term negotiation with suppliers and factories.
• Coordinate with the Quality Controller within his/her area.
• Be able to travel both in Vietnam and abroad.
• Follow up quality inspections.
• Visit suppliers regularly to solve / prevent production problem and maintain the positive relationship.
• Arrange testing of the products and ensure the needed certificates are in place.
• Develop working procedures and filing systems.
• Make sure delivery times are punctual, and quality standards reached.
• Assist the claim settlement process.
Yêu cầu
• University degree (preferable International Trade)
• Minimum 3+ years of solid merchandising or sourcing experience within a buying office or trading company, specifically focused on Indoor/Outdoor Furniture and general HomeGoods.
• Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing processes (wood, metal, upholstery, synthetic wicker) and packaging testing (e.g., ISTA standards for drop tests), which is critical for large HomeGoods exported to North America.
• Product experience in Hardline (Furniture and HomeGoods).
• Familiarized with export requirements and (Mexico-TIPAT).
• Open minded with general trading mentality and intercultural competence.
• Structured and organized.
• Positive attitude, good communication skills.
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Excellent personal presentation
• Proactive, results oriented, committed, highly motivated.
• High sense of responsibility and capable of working with limited supervision.
• Computer knowledge (Windows, MS office, Google platforms, PLM, SAP)
• Schedule and travel flexibility. Frequent travel to factory zones in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, or Quy Nhon is required to oversee production and evaluate suppliers.
