Middle QA/QC Engineer Automation

Role Summary

We are looking for a Middle QA/QC Engineer to own the quality of applications and technical solutions built in-house. Beyond functional testing, you will design test strategy, build and maintain automation frameworks (API & Web & App), and work closely with developers to ship reliable, well-tested products. This role requires a development background - you should be comfortable reading code, understanding system architecture, and writing test scripts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze specs, requirements, and system architecture to design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform testing across multiple layers: functional, integration, API, regression, e2e and basic performance/load.
• Design, build, and maintain automation test frameworks for API (Postman/REST) and Web (Playwright/Cypress).
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and maintain them as the product evolves.
• Read application code to understand logic, reproduce and diagnose defects, and verify fixes together with developers.
• Track and report quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, pass rate, escape rate).
• Contribute to QA process, standards, and test documentation

Requirements

• [1+] years of QA/QC experience, with [2+] years in working as Developer.
• Development background: able to read code, understand application logic, and write test scripts.
• Proficient in at least one programming language ([JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang]).
• Strong hands-on experience with API testing (Postman / REST) - request design, assertions, environments, collections.
• Hands-on experience building Web automation with Playwright and/or Cypress.
• Solid understanding of system architecture, HTTP/APIs, and how distributed/backend services work.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
