What You'll Do
You will be responsible for the fundamentals of the numbers along with all the usual stuff a Financial Accountant in a SaaS style start-up does. Which, to be clear, looks like this:
Statutory Compliance and Control
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate positions are maintained
Contribute to the development of the Finance function by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiencies
Support the Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation and filing of annual accounts for the UK parent and work with external accountants to ensure the same for foreign subsidiaries
Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
Ensure that applicable legal entities have appropriate financial controls in place and adhere to Group-wide policies
Work with external providers, reviewing and managing the output provided into Omnipresent's compliance processes
Taxation
Have involvement in our Transfer Pricing policy, ensuring intercompany transactions are accurately reflected in the underlying books and records of the relevant legal entities
Ensure all direct and indirect tax returns are completed, filed and paid on time
Work with external advisors to highlight potential risks and uncertainties to the Financial Controller and Finance Director
About You
As a qualified accountant you'll have strong technical skills and experience in Statutory accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, multi-currency reporting and group consolidation. You will also:
Have previous experience managing multiple subsidiaries or clients
Have experience with group consolidation accounting and external reporting
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation
Be commercially minded, with a can-do "roll your sleeves up" attitude.
Have an eye for detail that can also approach challenges pragmatically where required and deliver to meet deadlines.
Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately
Have the ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline-driven environment
